Depression is a horrible thing to experience, and one of the worst things about it is that it feeds itself. When you feel depressed you slowly start cutting out all the things in life that gave you joy before, this makes life feel even more worthless and a spiral begins. The same can happen when you are dealing with stressful situations. Before you know it all you are you are surrounded by is pain and negativity. We can use Activity schedules to help us at first map out our week and see what our week consists of, how much pain there is versus pleasure. We can then further plan to make changes to get ourselves out of this negative spiral that we are in.
